JOSÉ Protasio RIZAL Mercado y Alonso Realonda (June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896)
 
He was a Filipino nationalist and reformist and the most prominent advocate for reform in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era. He was the inspiration and thus wrongly implicated as the leader of the Katipunan Revolution, and that led to his execution on December 30, 1896, now celebrated as Rizal Day. Jose Rizal is considered national hero of the Philippines, and should always be, for he is the one who ignited the hearts of the Filipinos and uplifted their consciousness on the wrong doings of the Spaniards. through his novels he fought for liberty. these novels boost the spirits of the Filipinos that lead them to fight for their freedom and end the ruling of the Spaniards.

I believe Jose Rizal deserves the recognition as the national hero for he showed patriotism, strength, compassion and wisdom undeniably and remarkably. He demonstrated bravery through showering the Filipinos with awareness about the Spanish cruelty in his literary works. He fought for our freedom through his pen which served as his mighty sword. His movement empowered the nation and molded the determination of the Filipinos to fight for freedom.

Andres Bonifacio, kasi kung di dahil sa kanya hindi matatapos ang pag hirap ng Pilipinas. Kundi sya gumawa ng kilusang KKK walang mangyayari sa atin. Kung hindi sila lumaban at nag sakripisyo para sa atin, malamang Hanggang ngayon sakop parin tayo ng mga Kastila Ang ginawa lang naman kasi ni Jose Rizal, gumawa sya ng aklat tungkol sa pag hihirap at pag sasamantala ng mga Kastila sa mga Pilipino dahilan para magising ang mga Pilipino

Jose Rizal proved that he could fight through his writings without risking the lives of his countrymen. With his writings, he was able to express the needs of the Filipino people and his country. Thus, Dr. Jose Rizal only though the better for his country and countrymen. By his diplomatic approaches and peaceful propaganda, he was able to fight against the Spaniards and fight for us. Truly, Dr. Jose Rizal deserves to be our National Hero knowing that diplomacy should always be prioritize before confrontation and violence.

I would say Jose Rizal, he was very intelligent and brave man. Even though he did not fight through aggressive manner he wrote novels to encouraged and awakened the minds of every Filipino people to stand up against Spaniards. Jose Rizal is a true hero, he fight with all his heart and he loved our country more than to his life.

I think it should be Dr. Jose Rizal because he proved that not all things should be done aggressively. He used his novels to encouraged his countrymen to fight for their rights against Spaniards and enlightened them of what are happening to the country. His unique way of fighting for his country cannot be replaced by anyone. I can say that Rizal deserved to be the Philippine National Hero.

For me, it is no doubt that Dr. Jose Rizal is still my national hero. His patriotic deeds and great love to our nation was unbelievable. He did not advocate bloody revolution because he was a man who believe in peace and order. Only his pen and thought caused the awakening of Philippine nationality. His deeds are clearly showing that by means of peaceful undertaking something unbelievable could happen.

I think it should be Dr. Jose Rizal because for me he is wiser than other leaders. Rizal able to show that how Filipinos can bring change without violence, instead he used his writings to open the eyes of the Filipinos and he also dedicated his life for the sake of his countrymen without hesitation.

If I were you ill choose bonifacio because Bonifacio almost got rid of the Spaniards in our country. The KKK made great help to our country. Rizal just wrote books and novels and did nothing but just to hide in Europe.

i think andres bonifacio should be known as the Phil. National hero... because he has the gutts to fight for the independence, though rizal did not used violence still, andres bonifacio is brave enough and have his one word one act system. It should be Dr Jose Rizal.Nobility and Dignity What set Rizal apart from the others were his methods. Instead of relaying on the sword, he relied on the might of the pen. Using this method he was able to produce novels and poems that touched the Filipino’s soul. Without resorting to violence, he made Filipinos realize the oppression they were going through under the Spaniards. In his poems he also made it clear how important it was to love one’s country. It was a noble approach and something unique. Instead of raising arms, he embedded in the Filipino an idea. Unlike warriors, an idea cannot be killed. They actually complement each other. Without Rizal, Bonifacio would not have been able to increase the number of Katipuneros, or motivate them to fight. It was because of Rizal's death that more Filipinos were angered by the Spanish masters, and joined the Katipunan. On the other hand, Bonifacio was the mover, without whom there would have been no revolution. But weighing their impact on history, the admiration of the majority of Filipinos, and international admiration for Rizal, as well as his genius, I think Rizal would eventually emerge as the true national hero (http://randomthoughts-pinas.blogspot.com/)

Among those men who should have been the National Hero I guess the right question should be "Who among those heroes should be our National Hero?". We are all heroes in our own ways and Andres Bonifacio, Jose Rizal, and Emilio Aguinaldo fought for the freedom of our country and each of them battled in their own ways. Jose Rizal deserved to be our National Hero for he portrays a man full of conviction, brave, and love for his country. He proved that it doesn't have to be harsh by using swords and guns and simply use pen and paper to fought against spaniards slavery. His works truly awakened the minds of the Filipinos and ignited their hearts to fight back who were about to give up that time and one of those readers were Andres Bonifacio and he fought for independence by forming KKK.

Rizal. I agree that Rizal was our National Hero and I think he deserved that. He did not use his strength yet he use his brain to awaken the mind of the Filipinos. Andres Bonifacio ako. Naniniwala ako na si Bonifacio dapat ang maging national hero. Matalino rin naman sya at mas matapang pa. hinarap nya ang mga sundalong kastila at nagtatag ng KKK.
