JOSÉ Protasio RIZAL Mercado y Alonso Realonda (June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896)
 
He was a Filipino nationalist and reformist and the most prominent advocate for reform in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era. He was the inspiration and thus wrongly implicated as the leader of the Katipunan Revolution, and that led to his execution on December 30, 1896, now celebrated as Rizal Day. As a political figure, José Rizal was the founder of La Liga Filipina, a civic organization that subsequently gave birth to the Katipunan. He was a Filipino nationalist and revolutionary. He is often called "the father of the Philippine Revolution". I chose Rizal, behind his works he had been a good man. kahit sa maliit na bagay at kahit na simpleng tao lamang si Rizal ay nagawa niyang ipagtanggol ang ating bansa sa magandang paraan at walang dahas.

sorry ma'am i disagree to your statement because Bonifacio is also died for our beloved country. For me Bonifacio is the one who will be our national hero. Because Bonifacio fight and death with an honor.

Hindi ako sangayon sa sinabi mo bakit hindi maging si Jose Rizal, nakipaglaban siya ng gamit ang mga natutunan niya. Pinagtanggol niya ang mga naaaping sambayanang pilipino laban sa mga kastila. Tinuruan at inalagaan ni Rizal ang kanyang mga kababayan.

Pero di ba't naging mapusok din siya lalo na sa mga naging babae niya. naglakbay sa ibat ibang bansa at nagkakaroon ng mga karelasyon. nagpapakasarap hindi tulad ni bonifacio na laki sa hirap.

pano naman si bonifacio na hindi lang nagimpluwensya sa mga pilipino kung hindi kasamang nakipaglaban ng buong tapang sa mga kastila ng gamit lang ang mga bolo at nakukuha nilang mga armas galing sa mga kastila.

Si Rizal ang dapat maging National Hero ng Pilipinas kasi isa syang magandang halimbawa sa mga tao. Hindi siya gumamit ng karahasan para makilala ng mga tao sa halip ginamit niya ang kanyang talino.

It must be andres bonifacio in my opinion because he really do fight for our freedom. They said he cannot be a national hero for being aggressive and use "dahas". But for all we know after rizal wrote and published the novels, it awakes filipinos innocence and fight for our country which they became aggressive and more lives are gone.

its ok that it will be Andres Bonifacio for he came from a poor family but despite of that he struggle a lot to make the Filipinos free from a colonization.. he has a heart of true Filipino that is willing to give his life to his country.

Jose Rizal is the National Hero because he was the one who symbolizes leadership. he also opted for a non violence reform in the government. Instead he used his writings to open the eyes of the Filipinos. He dedicated his life for his countrymen without hesitation.

It should be Rizal because he even sacrifice his very own life, his loved ones, and he awakened us Filipinos through his writings regarding the Spanish Era. His works and extraordinary intelligence can never be replaced by any of our other heroes though they have the same goal of making our country free and independent.
