JOSÉ Protasio RIZAL Mercado y Alonso Realonda (June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896)
 
He was a Filipino nationalist and reformist and the most prominent advocate for reform in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era. He was the inspiration and thus wrongly implicated as the leader of the Katipunan Revolution, and that led to his execution on December 30, 1896, now celebrated as Rizal Day. I consider Jose Rizal as our National Hero because, instead of using guns as weapons, he used his novels to open up the eyes of his countrymen from the injustices of the government. He even sacrificed his own life without hesitation to encourage his countrymen to stand up for their country.

For me its Jose Rizal because he opted for a non violence reform in the government. Instead he used his writings to open the eyes of the Filipinos. He dedicated his life for his countrymen without hesitation.

ANDRES BONIFACIO, because he is a man of action than words. He is the person who has seen more courage to fight for the country from the Spanish. A man who is willing to die just to vindicate the country's independence.

For me Jose Rizal is my national hero because he was towering figure in propaganda movement. At the same time Rizal's first novel Noli Me Tangere influence to the filipino masses to great extent. Without Rizal there would have been no Bonifacio who founded the katipunan.

Our heroes is willing to die but Andress die not because the fighting between his and Spaniards, He die in hand in hand of Filipino because he do something wrong.

Freedom is our goal but before that we have knowledge to do that and Andres has not enough knowledge to do that because of that Jose Rizal is our national hero.

Sorry Garcia but i disagree on you because It should be Rizal because he even sacrifice his very own life, his loved ones, and he awakened us Filipinos through his writings regarding the Spanish Era. His works and extraordinary intelligence can never be replaced by any of our other heroes though they have the same goal of making our country free and independent.

I chose Bonifacio. He was greatly influenced by Rizal’s political views. He considered Rizal a real patriot and joined the latter’s La Liga Filipina in July 1892. With Rizal exiled to Dapitan, Bonifacio organized a secret society, the KKK. The initials stood for Kataas-taasang, Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan (the highest, the most respected Association of the Nation’s Children). This organization’s aim was to rise in armed revolt against the Spanish colonial power and to win freedom and independence for the country. Bonifacio wrote a constitution called the Kartilya, patterned after Rizal’s La Liga Filipina. He realized the need to wrest control of the government from the oppressive hands of the Spaniards.

Para sakin si Andres Bonifacio. Hindi lang naman si Rizal ang nagpakasakit at nagbuwis ng buhay para sa Pilipinas. Si Andres Bonifacio, ganun din. Inialay niya ang sarili niyang buhay para sa bansa at nakipaglaban sa mga Mananakop kasama ang mga kasamahan niya sa KKK.

Hi Len, para sakin si Bonifacio. Oo nga't sikat si Rizal as National Hero ng Pilipinas pero kase si Bonifacio, itinatag niya ang KKK.. Pinamunuan niya iti. Nakipaglaban siya gamit ang dahas para lamang sa kalayaan ng Pilipinas. Ipinakita niya kung gaano siya katapang para kalabanin ang mga manankop.

Bonifacio should have been the national hero because he wanted for an ultimate freedom for the Philippines and be separated from the authorities of Spain and that is through a revolution. Well it is true that Bonifacio has somewhat got this idea of freedom from Rizal but it is Bonifacio who put it into action, what is an idea without an action? . . . action speaks louder than words of ideas. Rizal was coward that he didn't support the revolution plan of bonifacio, but then the revolution was succesful. Also, Rizal was just an American-sponsored-hero, they just insisted Rizal to be the national hero because Americans were afraid that if it was Bonifacio that was the hero, the Filipinos would also revolt the same way as of Bonifacio's

It is in the Philippine History that if were talking about our national hero, it is no other than Dr. Jose Rizal. Without minding why him, instead of Andres Bonifacio or Emilio Aguinaldo whom they are purely a Filipino. But for me, I choose Dr. Jose Rizal as the Philippine National Hero because he was first to called the Philippines as his fatherland even though he is not purely a Filipino because of his great-grand father, a Chinese mestizo. He is more devoted to his countrymen through his novels and writings.

Hello! I respect your opinion but even if he is the inspiration of some Filipinos because of the novel he made to make us awakened. I think that's not enough for him to become a hero, actually its yet lack of his proven abilities to fight for our country. Bonifacio gave a lot of efforts and sacrifices just to give freedom for our countrymen.

Kung ikaw ang papipiliin. Sino sa tatlo ang pipiliin mo? Rizal,Bonifacio o Aguinaldo? Bakit? "Gawa hindi Salita" . Para sa akin si Andres Bonifacio ang dapat maging pambansang bayani ng Pilipinas. Kahit na punuin pa ni Jose Rizal ang isang buong silid aklatan ng kanyang mga sulat na patama sa espanyol ay wala paring mangyayari. Ito ay nagsilbi lamang boses o ingay sa mga kastila. Pinili ko si Bonifacio dahil siya ang nagsilbing paa at kamay ng ating bansa upang lumaban at ipagtanggol ang karapatan ng mga Pilipino. Ipinakita niya na kaya ding lumaban ng lahing Pilipino.
